Naas RFC were honoured to be awarded the Evening Herald Club Public Relations Officer of the Year at the Leinster Rugby Annual Awards ceremony held in the Mansion House, Dublin on Saturday evening (21st April).
The award was received by Jim Casey on behalf of Naas RFC and its PR Committee members: Pa Grogan, Barry Redmond, Dermot Benn, Paul Stapleton (Naas RFC Chairman) and Nikki Gallagher.
Naas RFC is delighted to have received such a prestigious award and is grateful to Leinster Rugby, in particular to their Media and Communications team - Peter Breen, Mark Quinn and Keira Kennedy, and to the Herald Head of Marketing, Geoff Lyons. The Club is also appreciative of the ongoing support of its main sponsors - RFL Steels, Profile Systems and O’Reilly Recruitment.
Naas RFC were among a distinguished list of award recipients which included Rob Kearney (Bank of Ireland Players Player of the Year), Ian Madigan (Young Player of the Year), Brian O' Driscoll (Evening Herald Try of the Year), Fionn Carr (Wagamama Noodler of the Year), Eddie Thornton (Guinness Hall of Fame Inductee), Skerries RFC (Canterbury Club of the Year), Ross McAuley of Skerries RFC (Canterbury Club Player of the Year), Paula Fitzpatrick of St. Mary’s College RFC (Philips Ladies Player of the Year), Mary McMahon of Old Belvedere RFC (Ladies Club Person of the Year), St. Michael’s College (Powerade Schools of the Year) and St. Conleth’s College (Special Merit Award).
