Representatives of Naas RFC were invited to attend a lunch at Parsonstown on Saturday last to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the founding of Barnhall RFC. Pictured below in the presence of the the Triple Crown, Grand Slam and Heineken Cup Trophies are Mr. Tom Ashe, Chairman Naas RFC and Mr. Ian Steward, President Barnhall RFC who made presentations of club trophies to mark the occassion.
On the occassion Naas and Barnhall Senior teams also met for the second round of their Leinster Senior League Cup encounter which proved to be a most competitive game played under ideal conditions. Despite numerous early chances created by Naas the first half finished scoreless. The game was finally won by Naas with a score of 10 : 8 following a last minute try by the Naas flanker, Andrew Kearney which was converted by outhalf David Aherne. Scorers for Barnhall were outhalf, Darragh O'Neill (pen) and reserve centre Leo Quinn (try)
